Navigation Square is the largest and most significant office space development undertaken in Cork City’s commercial centre. It incorporates four signature buildings totaling 360,000 sq ft of fourth generation office space. The space has an overall floor plate of 2,800m² and is designed to Gold LEED standards. Formerly the city’s historic trading hub, Navigation Square now makes a bold, ambitious statement that will grow Cork’s preeminence as a business and investment location.
This 3rd and 4th floor office fit out is located in the second phase of the re-development, the completed NSQ2 shell and core building on Kennedy Quay in the City Centre. Overall it presents the ideal environment for global and indigenous companies to establish themselves in Cork city.
The client, Net App, is establishing its first international headquarters here in Cork city. Designed by Henry J. Lyons and built by BAM Ireland, the fit out comprises a main public reception area, various meeting room types, open plan working stations, 2 coffee docks and 2 larger coffee stations / Pantry areas.
The floor plans are mainly open plan with a mixture of open and closed ceiling options. With many unique features including curved walls, ceilings, and arches, first in Ireland Ecophon acoustic panels, spindle walls, state of the art mechanical and electrical features compliment a finished product that exceeds the client’s requirements, in terms of future flexibility and the very first project outside of Dublin to achieve a LEED accreditation of Platinum.
This hi-tech commercial office has been delivered on time with exceptional quality which demonstrates Bam Ireland’s ‘Construction Excellence’.
