Located in one of the busiest shopping centres in the country, the refurbishment of Smooch Café & Dessert Bar was a seamless collaboration between the teams who brought integrated luxurious design elements into this project while adhering to strict time and budget constraints. The allowed schedule and delivery time was just 4 weeks.
The project was delivered on time and within budget, with thanks to a team which included Brill, Crosbie Group, Halpenny Electrical, Floorform, Roger David Scott, APW Sprinkler, Fortress Contracts and Johnston Shopfitters.
The team at Johnston Fitout are delighted to showcase their recent turn-key fit-out at Dundrum Town Centre for Smooch Café & Dessert Bar. Working in collaboration with Michael Hughes and Brill Design, this project is luxury from exterior to interior.
Notable challenges throughout the project included the short time frame for completion, and the logistics of carrying out the refurbishment while the shopping centre remained open for business. Dundrum Town Centre is one of Ireland’s largest indoor shopping destinations with over 169 tenants, retail floor space of 111,484 m2 and almost 140,000 m2 total floor space. It has an annual footfall of approximately 18 million people.
The team at Johnston Fitout Ltd adopted a streamlined approach which delivered on the task, despite the short time allocation and the busy site location. The construction process was expedited while maintaining stringent quality standards within time schedule and budget.
This project was completed without negatively impacting neighbouring business in the Centre. The teams’ meticulous attention to detail ensured that Smooch Café & Dessert Bar is a luxurious destination, both in its exterior and interior, setting a new benchmark for construction excellence.
